Chinenye Ezike, DPM
Dr. Chinenye Ezike is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon specializing in comprehensive foot and ankle care. She is board certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, as well as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician through the American Board of Wound Management. Dr. Ezike is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Ezike earned her undergraduate degree with honors in behavioral neuroscience and a minor in biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed her residency at Ascension St. John Hospital—now Henry Ford St. John Hospital—in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as chief resident during her final year.
Dr. Ezike is passionate about improving her patients’ quality of life by identifying and treating the underlying causes of foot and ankle conditions. She takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to care and considers conservative treatment options before recommending surgical intervention. Compassion, patient education, and advocacy are the core principles of her practice.
Her areas of expertise include diabetic limb salvage, complex lower-extremity wound management, foot and ankle fractures, sprains, tendon ruptures, foot deformity reconstruction, minimally invasive bunion and hammertoe surgery, and skin and nail conditions.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr. Ezike now lives in Beckley, West Virginia. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, dancing, photography, and strength training.
